I use an IPhone 6+ S, and T-Mobile the TapeACall help desk says this is a problem with the carrier and the way they setup their conference calls. That still doesnt help me.
COMPLAINT: This app has a MAJOR bug that needs fixing. If one starts TapeACall gets connected to the TapeACall number, then dials the recipient, one often gets automated menus prior to reaching a live person. These menus require one to press the keyboard, "one for yes" "two for no", etc., etc. this "routing you to the right person or department" feature at the recipients phone number does not "hear" the the keypad entry beeps you make while using TapeACall, which means you have to call your desired number first, go through every response menu option, by pressing from 1-9, until you reach the desired person or department. Only then can you dial the TapeACall number, which can cause the other person to hang up or for your recording to miss part of the conversation, while TapeACall makes its connection which then allows you to merge the calls. Very major problem. I have tested this with multiple companies, so the problem lies with TapeACall in my opinion.
COMPLAINT 2: if you sign up for the three dollar add-on dictation transcription program, youll find it is three dollars a MONTH, which is extremely deceptive. Youll also find that there is a an individual charge for each transcription that you wish to have. On a 40 minute phone call this could amount to over $50 for that one phone call. Every transcribed dictation you want costs extra money. There is no reason for this, as my voicemail on my phone can give me a transcription on my screen when someone leaves me a voicemail and it costs me nothing.
